We would like to inform you that, starting in 2025, local governments in some of the destinations included in our itineraries have introduced mandatory taxes for guests aboard cruise ships. Costa acts solely in an administrative capacity, collecting the amounts and transferring the funds in full to the relevant local authorities.

Iceland (starting 1 January 2025):

The infrastructure tax is levied by the Icelandic authorities on each guest for every day the ship is in Icelandic waters. This tax also applies to guests who do not disembark. The amount is ISK 2,500 per person per day (approximately €17 to €18) and includes minors.

You will find the charge on your onboard account by the end of your cruise.

Greece (starting 21 July 2025):

The Greek authorities have introduced a new tax, similar to those already applied to hotels and other types of accommodation. This tax is applicable in all instances of disembarkation, including for participation in excursions organised by us, for independent visits, and upon final disembarkation at the conclusion of the cruise. The amount of the tax varies depending on the destination port and the season.

For disembarkations at Greek ports, the corresponding amount will be debited from your on-board account by the end of the cruise.

From 1 June to 30 September

- €20.00 per guest disembarking in Mykonos and Santorini

- €5.00 per guest disembarking in other Greek destinations

From 1 October to 31 October and from 1 April to 31 May

- €12.00 per guest disembarking in Mykonos and Santorini

- €3.00 per guest disembarking in other Greek destinations

From 1 November to 31 March

- €4.00 per guest disembarking in Mykonos and Santorini

- €1.00 per guest disembarking in other Greek destinations

The tax is not subject to VAT and also applies to minors.
