The programme

You’re navigating the waters of Iceland’s longest fjord, nearly at the edges of the Arctic Circle, in an area crowded with marine mammals who prefer to feed and give birth to their young here. Your guide knows them very well and will help you not to miss the show.
This wild water habitat is a feast for the eyes: dominated by the blue of sea and sky, it’s framed by mountains that seem like natural sculptures. At the same time, the town of Akureyri, on the fjord’s slopes, stands out because of its mix of colors.
Don’t let yourself be distracted any longer: the biologist knows all there is to know about whales, from their features to their habits and the calls of every species. You’ll discover how they’re as quick as cats, but also really attracted to boats and great acrobats.
There’s also space in these waters for the more timid minke whales, lively humpbacks or the circus antics of the dolphins. And if by a bit of luck a blue whale emerges, you can say you’ve seen the biggest animal on the face of the Earth.
