The programme

You start off with instructions from the guide, who’ll teach you to navigate these waters: they’re the waters of the Ísafjörður, the biggest of the Icelandic fjords in the west.
Before the green and brown peaks standing out in the background, you feel very small. But it’s when you glide over the calm, deep waters, far from civilization, that the spectacle begins.
Did you know that the western fjords are home to a rich variety of birds? You can see them everywhere, clinging to the sheer sea cliffs or in flight. Look for the orange beaks of Atlantic puffins, they can often be found in these waters!
But who says it won’t be the barking of seals that breaks the silence of this moment? Ask your guide and expert in local flora and fauna how to recognize it. You never know!
