The programme

Port Vila can't be summed up in a few words, but we'll try...with its colorful markets, relaxed rhythms, exotic atmosphere and a colonial history that could be described as...eventful.

From the heights overlooking Parliament House, to the Council of Chiefs (it really does exist, and it's important), you'll explore the real identity of Vanuatu. And you'll discover how between the meticulous British and stubborn French, there certainly hasn't been much time to get bored here over the last century.

There's no shortage of local gems: a stop at Erakor Wharf, symbolic of the nation's independence, and a stroll in the park dedicated to that memorable day.

And you'll end on a high: a trip to the super colorful Central Market, where you can buy everything (even dreams, by the kilo) and the Mahitahi Handicraft Market, overflowing with local crafts. Perfect for those things that we call souvenirs, but which often end up in the living room gathering dust with dignity.
