The programme

We leave Argostoli behind and we head to the foothills of Mount Aenos, the tallest on the island, and enjoy the magnificent views along the way.
Our next destination is the Melissani Lake, a fascinating mysterious place discovered in 1951. This natural wonder was once a cave that contained a subterranean lake. In 1953, an earthquake brought down the cave’s roof, allowing the sun’s rays to illuminate the water, creating incredible plays of light that change depending on the position of the sun. The boat trip is an excellent opportunity to take some unforgettable photographs.
We proceed and stop for photos at Myrtos Beach, named one of the three most beautiful beaches in the world.
We then arrive in Assos, a picturesque village resting on a tiny peninsula. The colorful houses, tranquil harbor, two charming beaches, landscaped gardens and taverns overlooking the sea provide a lovely backdrop to a walk among the alleyways where time seems to have stopped.
We continue with Fiskardo, the northernmost settlement on the island and the only one that remained standing after the earthquake of 1953. Resembling an amphitheater around a small bay, the village enchants us with the charm of its Venetian-style colorful houses, crystal-clear sea and restaurants overlooking the port.
