The programme

The first stop is the Thingvellir National Park, one of the island's most emblematic historical and geographical sites. Your local guide will explain that this is not only where Iceland became an independent country, but it's also the only place in the world where you can see the intersection of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.
Keep a “wow” for Geysir, the most active geothermal area in the country, with its spectacular display of hot-water jets reaching up to 40 meters in height, and also for the Langjökull Glacier that, covering an area of 953 square kilometers, is the second largest ice cap on the island.
Have you ever driven a snowmobile? This is your chance: Darting around on the snow gives you a unique sense of freedom. Speeding is believing.
However, you won't believe your eyes once you see Gullfoss, the “Golden Waterfall”, with its legendary history and its deafening 31-meter high stream. Discover it as you enjoy an Icelandic soup, as hot and traditional as it should be.
