The programme

Drum Castle, in the heart of Aberdeenshire, boasts 700 years of history, all contained within its stone walls: The 13th-century tower house, which is practically frozen in time, tells stories from the Middle Ages, of Scottish knights and clans, while the manor house is Jacobean in style, with Victorian additions.
The portraits and the Georgian furniture are all still perfectly preserved, just like the family heirlooms in the Irwyn room - the owners of this property for more than 600 years.
From the tower, you can reach the medieval crenelations and enjoy the view as far as the eye can see over the countryside, and the centuries-old oaks of the ancient hunting forest.
Then, wander among the scents of the historical rose garden, divided into quadrants, and your guide will tell you how the roses have been cared for here since the 17th century.
