The programme

Your exploration of the Shetland islands begins with a stroll in Lerwick, a town that dates back to the 17th century. Then, you'll take a bus trip with your nose glued to the window, gazing over the alluring coastal landscapes and listening to the stories of your guide.
Keep your smartphone to hand to capture a few pictures of the ancient settlement of Fladdabister, then stop to catch sight of the 'broch' of Mousa Island from a viewpoint: a prehistoric tower dating back to the Iron Age.
Now it's time to head to St Ninian's Isle…on foot! That's right - because the ocean leaves the 'ayre' free to cross - a scenic 'bridge' of sand.
Here, amidst immaculate green lawns and dazzling white beaches, you'll spot the ruins of a 12th-century church and learn the story of St Ninian's treasure, discovered right under the floor of the church in 1958.
Before returning to the ship, stop off at Rerwick beach for one last snap of the seals that inhabit it. Another amazing sight all for you!
