In a nutshell

Set off for a catamaran adventure to discover the Dominican coast: sunbathe on the deck and take pictures of the white bays and beaches, and when you arrive at the best snorkeling spot, dive in with a mask and snorkel and swim among the colorful fish. But you're not truly in the Caribbean unless you're sampling local rum and beer to the upbeat rhythms of bachata and merengue music: fancy dancing?

The programme

The adventure begins on the bus which takes you from the pier to the embarkation point, along the streets of La Romana, between the sea and sugar plantations. Do you know why it has this name? It's in honor of a Roman family that lived here in the 1500s.
At the marina, you'll climb aboard your motor catamaran: the deck is wide and comfortable, perfect for sunbathing and taking photos of beaches and bays, which are even more stunning when admired from the sea. The crew will welcome you to the rhythms of merengue and bachata music: that's right, there's also plenty of space for dancing!
They're not only good dancers - they also know the best places for snorkeling: your destination is called “The Wall”, one of the biggest coral reefs in the Caribbean.
Dive in with your mask and snorkel, and your guide will tell you plenty of facts and secrets about the tropical creatures you will encounter: in addition to colorful fish, you might just come across snappers, sponges and stingrays!
After the snorkeling, sample tropical fruit and a sandwich, accompanied by sweet rum and a local beer: now you'll really feel part of the place. Life's good in the Caribbean, right?

Good to know

Only bring what you need: a backpack with beach towel, hat, sunscreen and a bottle full of water.
We'll provide the fins, mask, and snorkel.
Minimum age for snorkelling: 12 years.
The excursion is not suitable if you have back problems or are pregnant.
