The programme

We'll set off from the port of Barcelona: our first stop is Colònia Güell, a fascinating industrial village which seems to maintain all the atmosphere of the 19th century. You'll wander past its Modernist buildings, which combine the simplicity of popular Catalan architecture with bold experimental elements in iron and ceramic. Gaudí's Crypt is the beating heart of this hidden corner of Barcelona. Here, every curve and every corner will help you understand right from the start that for Gaudì, architecture was not just about form - it was also a journey into the imagination.

And then, the Sagrada Família: get ready to be amazed. It's not just a basilica, it's a real work of art that defies the laws of time and logic. The Sagrada Família is proof that Gaudí pushed architecture beyond any known boundary. Your guide will accompany you through the history and meaning of the facades of this iconic monument.

You'll have a bit of free time for lunch, to digest what you've just seen (or just to eat, which is also necessary sometimes...) After, we'll head off to see another masterpiece: the Hospital de Sant Pau. And if you thought that hospitals were all white rooms and sterile corridors, get ready to think again, and to get lost among the play of light created by its windows.
