The programme

Travel past Sydney’s inner west residential suburbs to the foot of the Blue Mountains. En-route, visit Feather dale Wildlife Park, with a large private collection of unique Australian fauna. See koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, birds of the rainforest, birds from inland, colourful parrots and reptiles. Leaving the park, follow the trail of Australia's early explorers

as the coach climbs high into the mountains to the townships of Leura and Katoomba. The Blue Mountains are so named because of the blue haze caused by rays of light striking dust particles and small droplets of moisture in the atmosphere. The haze is an interesting scientific phenomenon, especially noticeable due to the slopes being heavily timbered with Eucalyptus trees. At Echo Point witness the spectacular Three Sisters rock formation and views over the Jamison Valley. Next transfer to The Hydro Majestic Hotel for light lunch in the ballroom. After lunch, enjoy a ride at Scenic World Blue Mountains with 360° views, taking in the famous Three Sisters, the magnificent Katoomba Falls, Mt Solitary and the near endless vista of the Jamison Valley. Either float on air in the Skyway with its world first Electro-Scenic Glass Floor or ride the steepest incline Railway in the world down to a lush and hidden valley or quietly glide out of the valley aboard the Cableway, taking in the breath-taking panorama of the stunning World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park. From the Blue Mountains a pleasant return journey to Sydney.
