The programme

Welcome to Kamakura, the former shogun capital, which is now a haven of peace and historical wonders. The first stop you'll make is at Kotokuin Temple, where the majestic Daibutsu – a bronze Buddha 13 meters high – watches on serenely as the centuries pass by.As you continue along Wakamiya Oji avenue, you'll come to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, the shrine that has come to symbolize the city, once the center of samurai power. From the top of the steps, the view over Kamakura is well worth a photo.The last stop: Komachi Dori Street, the beating heart of the city. Here you can find unique souvenirs and sample local delicacies as you like, from matcha tea biscuits to grilled kebabs. Because every journey needs the right flavor!
