The programme

We will cross the residential area of Funchal, admiring its beauty, before crossing the Estrada Monumental to reach Pico dos Barcelos, 350 metres above sea level, from which we can enjoy a spectacular view of the city.
Our tour continues on to another spot offering wonderful view of the port, the Santa Catarina Park, which is also known for the variety of plant species that it boasts.
Back in the centre of Funchal, we have chance to visit the exterior of the Sé Cathedral, which was consecrated in 1517. Its architecture is testimony to a splendid fusion of styles, from European Gothic, to Moresco, Manueline and the local style.
Having admired the Cathedral, we will visit the city's historic centre, with its narrow streets and centuries-old buildings.
