In a nutshell

Not many people can claim to have met the rays of Antigua in their natural habitat. Want to be one of them? An expert local instructor will take you to Stingray City, where these fish, with their wide wingspans, swim free. You will walk among them, stroking them as they pass, and for the bravest, offering up succulent chunks of squid. An adventure for all ages, with a tasty thirst-quenching punch to finish!

The programme

Fancy a special experience for young and old just under the surface of the Caribbean sea? At the quay in Seatons, your local instructor awaits with all the equipment you will need for getting up-close and personal with the creatures of the sea.
You'll find them at Stingray, the 'village of the rays' in Antigua, inside the coral reef: an area of shallow water teeming with biodiversity to be preserved and safeguarded, where large Caribbean stingrays swim free.
Your expert instructor knows how to prepare you for your meeting: a few tips and you will learn that it doesn't take much to win them over whilst you're snorkeling.
It all defies description: some of them allow themselves to be stroked under the crystal clear waters or on the surface, while others will splash around between your legs. But they all love squid: why not offer them a piece!
Once you're back at the quay, you can enjoy a rum or fruit punch, having gained many new marine friends.

Good to know

Only bring what you need: a swimming costume, a backpack with beach towel, a hat, suncream and a bottle of water.
We'll provide the mask and snorkel.
