An experience of three days and two nights at Ayers Rock, the mystical symbol of Australia: its imposing shape changes color at dawn and dusk, like the huge rocky domes of Kata Tjuta. The programme

Day 1 – Among the rocky domes of Uluru-Kata Tjuta The plane approaches Ayers Rock, the mass of land that is so sacred to the Aborigine people: you're in the heart of the outback, a remote area of semi-desert, the “red heart of Australia”. * After lunch, you'll set off to explore Kata Tjiuta: 36 enormous rock domes shaped by the wind. With your guide, you'll walk along the Walpa gorge: keep your camera close to hand, because you might meet a wallaroo: a bit like a kangaroo, but smaller. * The immersion continues with a picnic at dusk looking out over the infinite desert horizon and includes local products. When night falls, you'll discover the legends of the Aboriginal people with a light show: you are in a sacred place where the energies of the Ancestors who created the world hover around you.

Day 2 and 3 – The desert to the sound of the didgeridoo and return to the ship * Grab your packed breakfast and when the sun comes up, the desert comes to life before your eyes and Ayers Rock turns red. * Continue listening to the silence as you continue on the path leading to the Mutitjulu natural pool where Kuniya, the spirit of the python woman, dwells. * At dinner, under the starry desert sky and far from the city lights, listen to myths about the constellations and the hypnotic sound of the didgeridoo: did you know that it is played for healing purposes and that its vibrations have a massaging effect? You'll carry the feeling with you the next morning when you fly over the outback towards Melbourne and wave goodbye to the mystical red heart of Australia from above.

The desert climate will be hot and dry. Not recommended for people who are prone to over-heating and dehydration.
Walking options can vary as tracks are uneven and unsealed, with slight inclines & declines. Some terrain is rocky * advise clients to bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
Guests advised to wear broad brimmed hat, sunglasses, and comfortable walking shoes (no sandals or flip-flops).
No wheelchairs or motorised scooters allowed.
Local guides will advise which areas are ok for photography and which are not.
In Sydney the ship will be at anchor: the walk from where the tenders will drop you off in the Opera House area to the coach parking place takes around 20 minutes.
