The programme

We'll set off from Puerto Princesa on a journey of around two hours in the Philippine countryside, through picturesque villages and unspoilt nature. First stop: Sabang, a place that is famous for the beautiful colors of the ocean here. From here, you'll hop on a boat for a brief trip to the entrance of the Puerto-Princesa Subterranean River National Park. Did you know that it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and that it's been declared one of the new seven wonders of nature?

And now, get ready to discover Natuturingan Cave, one of the most extraordinary subterranean ecosystems in Southeast Asia. It's serious stuff! On board a canoe, you'll float around two miles down the river beneath the mountain of St. Paul, surrounded by surreal stalactites and rock cathedrals sculpted by the water over millions of years. The darkness, the echoes and the torchlight create an almost mystical atmosphere... until the guide starts to point out rock formations in funny shapes – you'll see animals, faces and even tropical fruit carved in the stone!

Good to know

Wear your swimsuit under your clothes; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Be prepared to get wet.
Not recommended for guests with limited mobility, as getting into the canoe and pedalo boat could be challenging. Life jackets will be provided.
For safety reasons, swimming is not permitted at Sabang Beach.
Not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back or neck problems.
The minimum age is 10 years.
The means of transport may not be equipped with air conditioning or a microphone.
Due to crowding in the National Park, expect delays when entering the underground river.
Your guide will do their best to speak English, but be aware that the limited tourist infrastructure here is part of the charm of the city, and as such, we ask you to be tolerant of any linguistic difficulties you may encounter.
