Mandatory Information to be Provided by Passengers

Providing a pleasant, safe on-board experience is our priority. For this reason, we ask that our guests inform us of any medical conditions that may require medical assistance and/or any special requests in plenty of time, so that we can organize and deliver satisfactory service.

Important Information for “Long Voyage” Itineraries (e.g. World Cruise, Round Africa, Transoceanic)

It is important to bear in mind that the itineraries planned for the so-called “Long Voyages” include at least 5 consecutive days of sailing in the open sea, often at a significant distance from land. Should the need to disembark a guest due to a medical emergency arise, operations to do so are costly and may take a long time. As such, this may also result in a temporary change to the planned itinerary. We always recommend that appropriate insurance is taken out to cover such eventualities.

- within 40 days of departure, or

- upon confirmation in the case of bookings made less than 40 days before departure. We will send you by e-mail the specific documentation to be completed in full (possibly also by your attending physician), so that we can make the appropriate medical assessments regarding your suitability for boarding. If the documents are not returned to us duly completed by the deadline indicated, we will not be able to guarantee the ancillary services (e.g. transfers, flights) reserved for guests requiring special forms of care or assistance, and we reserve the right to cancel the reservation (applying any penalties) or modify it by charging any additional costs incurred by our Company.

Safe disembarkation

Everyone can disembark from the ship, using the gangway connecting it to the mainland. Only under special conditions, e.g. in ports where the ship cannot dock and disembarkation takes place in roadsteads, will disembarkation by means of special tenders be permitted. Disembarkation is not permitted if, due to sea conditions, maximum safety is not guaranteed for guests with reduced mobility, and it will be at the discretion of the captain to decide whether to authorise disembarkation of guests with reduced mobility.
